Overview

Upon assuming responsibility for ShadesDaddy's (now known as ShadesEyeconic) email marketing, I meticulously assessed the existing strategies and performance metrics. Despite a solid foundation, it was evident that there was room for enhancement to drive engagement and bolster ROI. The company sold many of the most sought-after eyewear frames at discount prices, yet these savings weren’t resonating for one reason or another with their email subscribers. Implementing advanced audience segmentation techniques, I tailored messaging to individual subscriber preferences, demographics, and purchase history, ensuring each campaign resonated deeply with its intended audience.

Through compelling content creation, I crafted emails that not only caught the eye but also provided genuine value to subscribers, incorporating captivating visuals, persuasive copywriting, and storytelling elements to foster engagement and brand loyalty. I was able to tailor emails for customers, exactly how they would expect to receive them from the actual vendors.

Ex: an email about Ray-Ban should resemble the Ray-Ban aesthetic.

Every aspect of our email campaigns, from subject lines and send times to design layouts and calls-to-action, underwent meticulous scrutiny and experimentation. Through A/B testing and multivariate testing, I systematically identified winning combinations that consistently outperformed previous iterations, driving incremental gains in open rates, click rates, and overall campaign effectiveness. This data-driven approach allowed me to refine my strategies, ensuring each email delivered maximum impact and ROI.

The results of these efforts were nothing short of remarkable. Open rates surged from under 20% to over 45%, indicative of the increased relevance and resonance of our targeted messaging. Click rates followed suit, skyrocketing from a mere 0.5% to over 2%, demonstrating the heightened engagement and interest generated by our optimized content and design. Most impressively, average email revenue soared from $400 to $2000, a testament to the effectiveness of our strategies in driving conversion and revenue generation without any inventory changes.

Once again, it’s all about understanding the demographic and what’s expected from the brands they follow.
